Finally....

OK I have finally transfered all my posts from my other blog to this blog!! It took a while, but I finally decided just to transfer the wording and I would get to the pictures a little at a time. This way though I can start getting caught up from the last 4 months!! There isn't too much, but I still have J's first day of preschool, E's 15 months...well I guess 16 months since that is what she is now, my St. Louis trip to visit MIke, Thanksgiving, Mike's rotations, interviews, etc!!, our gross termite problem, me getting locked out of the house,  and pretty soon Christmas! What a crazy 4 months it has been.

Right now I am currently visiting my family in UT for Thanksgiving, we were lucky enough that Mike was able to come visit us for a couple days. I was so glad he was able to come because the kiddos have not seen him for 2 months. We are having a blast here and I am so grateful for my family. I also won't have too many pictures to post since Mike took our good camera with him to all his rotations and I don't like using our old one.

What's really crazy that in just 3 months we will match to a RESIDENCY and we will know where we are going to live for the next 3 years. I am super excited for the next 3 months to go by. I cannot wait to start looking for houses and preschools for J to attend!!  Hope everyone stays tuned for the many updates that will be coming your way

UT PT 4: Cousin Time

For Jason's birthday we headed to their new place and they have a fun splash pad right across the street. J and E both loved this splash pad! Then we headed out to lunch for his 32nd birthday!

We had to head home after the birthday lunch, but we took Ellis with us so that J had a friend to play with and so the boys could have a sleep over. As we were waiting for Jace and Steph to come up for the annual camping in parent's backyard for the 4th we had all my cousins and their kids come over for a picnic....

Annika was so cute, she helped J by pushing him on the swing!

Here's the group...I love my cousins! They are the best

Later that night when everyone arrived, we roasted s'mores!

All the cousins, minus E, Grant, Kenna, and Tad(in Steph's belly)

The best part is the ROPE SWING...Jason had the brilliant idea of climbing up the ladder and jumping....here he is on the ladder about ready to jump

and then me after I jumped...notice the red ladder (that's where I jump from)

and of course Little Guy

UT PT 3: Sunday Hike's

Utah is the perfect weather... in the summer you can get out and enjoy the nature all around you, but in AZ you stay indoors or go swimming! Mike and I are not huge fans of the heat and we are so excited for February to get here so we can know where we are moving to. Then in the Winter Utah snows and that's perfect for snowboarding, making snowman, sledding, snowball fights, cuddling up in bed watching movies and drinking hot chocolate. Seriously what could get better than living in a place where they have all 4 seasons!....

Here is us on our first Sunday in Utah enjoying an afternoon walk with my family

J's ready

On the way up to the water, my sisters dog Dre discovered this HUGE bull snake.......freaked me out! I absolutely HATE HATE snakes!!! Luckily this guy did not bite Dre or anyone else for that matter and he was NOT poisonious

Early on, my back started hurting so Uncle Jesse took E...this was taken after she stood up wanting to get out but he closed the umbrella on her! My kids LOVE their Uncle Jesse.

The water...we made it...it was moving so fast and was pretty high from the last time my sister was up here. It was GORGEOUS though

J got tired on the way down, plus I think he was jealous of E riding with Jesse. He latches on to Jesse, Grandpa, Tage, and Jason whenever we come to visit without Dad.

Grandpa was carrying Jesse and Lisa's little guy...he fell asleep :) He is such a cutie

E on the way down the mountain

my sis and I

Interesting fact: While in Utah I was training for my 10k race on the 4th...well I got shin splints, no fun! My dad had me ice it and guess what...HIVES!! I was baffled that you can get an ICE HIVE. Who knew?!

Happy 1st Birthday E

Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet E

Here are a few things about here...her eyes still change from brown to blue depending on who you ask..I see blue, Mike sees brown.
*Her hair can finally be put into pigtails (small, but there)
*She doesn't like to read (not enough movement)
*Her most ticklish spot is her back
*She has 10 teeth now (6 came in all at once, poor girl)
*She loves to CLIMB...anything and everything

*She loves following J around...she is his little shadow
*She absolutely LOVES animals, she will get excited EVERY time she sees one
*She loves to dance
*She loves to play in water, but not so much swimming

*She LOVES the outdoors
Like I said, her brothers shadow

This picture is just cute, because again she wants to do EVERYTHING J does

*She has discovered her belly
*Loves to stick out her tongue at you
*Talks non-stop...you can't understand her, but oh man does she have stuff to say!!
*She can meow like a kitty & moo like a cow
There are so many things about our little girl that I could just go on and on and on, but I'll save you the reading time.
Happy Birthday my little girl, we are so glad you chose our family.

UT PT 2: Water play

absolutely absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my grandma's house. I love everything about it (well it could use some updating, but it's Grandma's house), I love the driveway, I love the character of her house, I love the old beaten down milk barn, I love the Red Barn & basketball court, I loved the old chicken coup that they tore down, I love the little playhouse!, but my favorite feature about my Grandma's house is her HUGE BIG BACKYARD! The only way to water this HUGE BIG BACKYARD is by flooding it!!!!! Which adds up to a LOT of FUN....

The water was just barely spreading but J got into it right away.

He is so goofy

This just a shot of how big the backyard is....there's more to it too!!

I didn't think E would want to get in, that's why I didn't get her in her swimsuit but she proved me wrong...she LOVED the water

My sister and Little guy came over to play in the water also....

She brought her dogs too...J loved throwing the ball for them. He got pretty good too

J pushing E on the sled! They had a blast together.

Got him in mid suck of his lower lip...Seriously isn't he just the most adorable kid ever!!

E working her soaked clothes!

After we played, we put the kids in the bath to rinse all the ditch water off them. J knows that you do not drink ditch water or you will throw up ALL NIGHT (yes this happened on our trip)

Utah Part 1

The kids and I headed to Utah for the 4th while Mike studied and took his Step 2 board exams...Us on the road...E does NOT like road trips, so I had to take her out and cuddle a couple of times ( I know totally dangerous)

J was content with his books, movies, and chips :) He is amazing in the car!

We were trying to make it to CC to stay the night, but E had other plans. She was DONE for the day and when I say done, she was screaming and crying and whining for a good solid half hour and would not stop no matter if she was out of the carseat or in. So we made a pitstop for the night in Mesquite. As you can see she was antsy to start climbing....

She climbed into the tub :)

We finally arrived and this is what we got to see that day...the best thing EVER. Can we say ADORABLE

He seriously is the cutest thing on the planet! I love this little man :)

These 2 are 6 months apart......um what more is there to say...

She was trying to climb everything and anything

The next day J was helping Grandpa in the yard and found this....

He was so proud....stay tuned more updates to come

3 down 1 to go...

I cannot believe how fast the past 3 years have gone. I don't know who has struggled more, me or Mike...I have had bad days and great days going through medical school as I know that Mike has had some bad days and some really great days!! It's even more hard to believe that when we moved here J was 5 weeks old...so little!! *The pictures are backwards, so have fun* Here are some fun things that Mike has done in the past 3 years.....

3rd year he got to start his rotations in all the basic fields of medicine aka Family med, internal med, OB/gyn, cardio, Peds, etc... One rotation he did in Kingman (in his 4th year he will be going to other states to do Audition rotations for Residency) Also our family became a family of 4 in his 3rd year!

After a rotation, I believe at one of the hospitals

In his 2nd year he got to go to Guatemale to do a medical service trip! He absolutely loved it and I know we will definitely be doing A LOT of these when he becomes a doctor. He may even do it again at the end of his 4th year.

At the beginning of the 1st year they hold what's called the White Coat Ceremony and it's where he receives his white coat...it's a "student" white coat and only goes to the hips...when he graduates he will get the "official" white coat.

Yes J was this little when we moved

This next year is going to go by so fast...the start to even apply for residencies is July 1st...WOW! It's already here to start applying, then he will be doing interviews in the fall and in February we will know where and when we will be moving! I am excited, nervous, scared, and fascinated all at the same time! I'm ready for our next adventure but sad that we will be leaving all the wonderful friends we have made in this journey!!! Mike is AMAZING and he is doing such a great job! I know he will rock this next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J's Swim Lessons

We are now onto the 2nd session of SWIM LESSONS!! Here are some pictures from the 1st session last week. Mindi and Brittany are wonderful teachers and J just LOVES it! He has already improved and can get from point A to point B without ANY floaties!! Can I get a WOOT WOOT!! Seriously, he is an amazing swimmer. I am so proud. I got a little teary when I saw him jump off the diving board for the first time at swim lessons. As some of you know I swam competitively for almost 10 years and I love that I have children that share the joys of swimming that I had when I was little.

Swimming to the wall...She always does this every lesson, it teaches them that if they ever fall into the pool to go to the wall! Mindi is a genius!!

Doing "humpty dumpty"

This was the first day and they were going to get in the water and monkey crawl to a step in the deep end of the pool. The 2nd day they jumped off the diving board...the other boy is J's friend from church. They had a blast...seriously those 2 could get into some trouble if they were to grow up together

Seussical

I started doing a "Good"ie Jar with J, it was working for a bit and then he just doesn't seem to care, but since he filled his jar up I took him to see Seussical. It was our mom/J date! The poor guy was pretty tired from swimming in the morning and waking up early too. So thankfully he didn't want to wonder away from me too much! We saw the play at Broadway Palm Theater, so we also got to eat lunch. J and I left Dad and E at home at 12 to go eat some lunch! Lucky for us the cast came out to visit all the kids...J kept saying there's Cat in the Hat or as he sometimes will say Kitty in the Hat!
The cast...

Cat in the Hat...Mazie the bird...a gorilla...and a bird.

Gertude the bird (Horton's next door neighbor) Jaxon was so cute to go and ask for a picture.

Another bird
His "mad" face

10 months old

E turned 10 months old on May 22!!! We had just gotten back from Kingman the night before so I'm late in posting...but here is our little 10 month old. Stats:

Weight: 17 lb 10 oz
Height: 27 in

She only has her 2 bottom teeth still and no other teeth are coming through. She loves to go swimming and hang out in her floaty! Her hair is getting longer and we can finally put little barrettes in it since she doesn't really keep the headbands and cute flowers on for too long!

She has taken her first steps!!!!! She isn't as interested in doing it every time because she can get around with her crawl just fine. She is a CLIMBER, she definitely is my little monkey!! Her FAV game is Peek-a-boo! She will randomly turn her head away from you and then look back real fast....that's her way of playing! She is mimicking most of our actions now...she claps, waves, dances, shakes her head "no" (I don't know if she is really understanding that this is no, because she does this as a dance move too) and kicks her legs on the trampoline to jump.

Another fun feature, is her eyes are staying the dark blue with a hint of brown right in the middle by her irises! Gorgeous gorgeous eyes!!! Also the only way she will eat vegetables is if they are not mashed like baby food. She loves peas, green beans, and carrots when they are in solid form...soft of course! :) My baby girl is a cuddler too and I love it!! In her baby blessing it was mentioned that her and I would have a special bond and we definitely have a fun bond!! She is a momma's girl!! :)

Kingman Weekend PICTURES

WARNING: Picture overload! :) Enjoy

Hualapia Mountain....an old mine on a gorgeous hike

The beginning of the hike

Family photo in front of the mine

We made it to this lookout point. Such a gorgeous view

The view

After the hike we headed to lunch...Mr.D'z...and this guy even walked in that thought he was Elvis, seriously he had the hair the sunglasses and even a sweet ride with zebra print on the seats and dashboard...so funny!

The little museum we went to...

Train park...

The Wild West show that was just entertaining...bad actors, but it's a small town :)

Colorado River

It was so cold. This is only as far as he would go in at first

E fell asleep on the way there and slept a little bit after we took her out too. She was exhausted

Playing in the water!

This was her not liking the cold water anymore.

And he's soaked! :)

E really did enjoy the water...I think she enjoyed it more when we had her shirt on...

As you can see it was a fun trip!! Nothing too special but at least we had stuff to do :)

Kingman Weekend

Last weekend the kids and I went up to Kingman to visit Mike. Let me just say I was not expecting much out of that town, but it proved me wrong!!! I still would not choose Kingman as my first choice to do residency, but if we matched there I would not be totally devastated about it either. 1 reason is its only 3 1/2 hours away from Mesa (which his family and our friends are here)...2nd it's only 8 hours from my family!!! 3rd it's only 4 hours from Cedar City and Mike's ranch (which we hope to visit more often if we are closer by) and 4th its only 30-1:30 hrs away from pretty much some awesome stuff to do. Here is what we did...we took pictures but with our old camera that Mike has...I forgot to bring my camera up with me, so you'll have to wait to see the awesome pictures.
Friday we got there a little before Mike finished up work, so we got to meet all the cool work peeps. We headed straight to his house that literally never left the 80s! :) Seriously our grey/black/white (Salt & pepper I like to call it) carpet was there except it was the brown version, so it felt like home already ;D) Then after we unloaded our stuff, Mike drove us around for a bit and then we ate dinner at the Dambar & Steakhouse. The food was pretty good. We then headed to a park to let the kids play and get their wiggles out from being cooped up in the car for 4 hours....Mike and I then put E to bed, stayed up with J for a bit and then watched Gulliver's Travels.....which we thought was a pretty good movie, considering we weren't expecting much. But I thought it was better than what the critics had said!
Saturday, the kids woke up early, which we were fine with. We got to get a head start on our day.First we decided to drive around and Mike took us to their mountain...we hiked this really nice trail and the weather was absolutely perfect! The hike was just the right length of time too, so when we got back to the car we headed over to Mr. D'z diner (that never left the 50's) for lunch. The food was delicious yet again...after we headed over to the Train Park which has an actual life size train and car for the kids to climb on. J loved every minute of it. At the park they were selling a bunch of stuff which I snagged me a pair of sunglasses for $5 and we got J a pair for $2...we watched a really horrible western skit, but that's what you get for small town living! It was awesome :) We headed to a museum right across the street for a brief visit and then drove to Bullhead City/Laughlin area to play in the Colorado River. I never knew that was there, it was so fun to walk through the river with the kids. Even E loved it and she is not one to love cold water and man was it FREEZING!! Next time we will have to rent some jet skis, which almost everyone had! We had some Panda for dinner after that and the kids and I headed home.
So overall it was a great weekend! I could live there for 3 years if we had to.

Mother's Day 2011

So this Mother's Day was surprising good. I woke up with the kids and made breakfast for J and I...we had eggs and has browns!! Yummy!! Then I had a mini bbq with my cousin and his family, attended church but only got a chocolate bar, and a homemade flower from J, out of the whole 3 hours because E was so tired and squirmy...then went to my Aunt and Uncles for dinner. The BEST surprise was from Mike all the way in KINGMAN........

I have the sweetest husband in the world. He is too good to me! :) I love him so much!

Update part 1

So I have been lazy and haven't blogged in a while. Here is what we have been up to. Mike and I went hiking up to the wind caves...

I did pinewood derby with my ward...I was the lovely photographer :) HA! Here is Mike's old car that J brought racing against the Bishops car...funny thing, the Bishop made it so that his car would ALWAYS lose which it did until Jaxon raced his car. hahaha and this was the car that got Mike to win the whole thing! :)

E's first ponytail...it didn't stay in long, but it still looked cute! :)

My brother and his family came for a visit...Ellis and J riding the tricycle together!

Lose that Belly Bump

Check it out...my sister started a new website called Lose that Belly Bump www.losethatbellybump.com
It's her journey for losing all her baby weight that she still has left from having her cute little baby boy.

Camping 2011

On Wednesday we decided to go camping with our friends: Justin & Monica - Blake, Rebekah, & E; Lafe & Bryndee - Lily & Viv...we had such a blast. We went up to Coons Bluff just for one night, but that was all we needed. We had dinner, then roasted some marshmellows, got the kids into bed after they had been playing and getting dirty non stop!! In the morning we made breakfast and roasted some snails...they are delicious. Thanks Justin and Monica for introducing them to us...they are just roast bisquits! Yum!!
E even got in on the getting dirty action! What a mess!!!

Bryndee and Justin getting dinner ready to cook...

Monica, Me, and I'm holding Monica's E! :)

4 of the kids...Blake, Lily, Viv, and J

J decided to dump dirt on his head....he looks like spot! :)

I had such a blast camping...can't wait to go again!

Hardworking...

I wasn't so much the hardworking one, but Mike was... He was AMAZING! And finished this project in a day! Now we have grass...it's fake grass, but it's green and soft and GRASS! Plus the patio has so much more space to it. We just need to get our storage figured out and we are good to go!

This poor little guy had a temp of 102.4 but he really wanted to come visit his dad while he was working.

Mike and his little red wagon...this is what he used to haul all the old stones and stuff out to the garbage

I forgot to take a BEFORE picture so here is the closest thing to BEFORE :)

My 26th Birthday

For all those who don't know I am a St. Pattys girl, so this year for my birthday, to start Mike got me a KINDLE!!!! Seriously LOVE IT. (I am almost finished with Count of Monte Cristo and got 44 classic books for $0!!) Anyways, Mike and I went out to breakfast to start the day out, went and bought us some green shirts since we didn't own anything green. Our kids did, but not us. After shopping we got a dozen FREE Krispy Kreme donuts and then picked up the kids. We then headed to this water park that is super cheap to get into! We loved it.... Here are some fun pictures of that...
J ready to go with my goggles!

Poor kid was so tired that he fell asleep and the goggles fogged up!! LOL

Mike and J on the lazy river; I took E on the river a couple times around but she HATED getting splashed on, so I hopped out snapped a few pictures before we headed over to the kids play area where there are slides! We also hit the whirlpool area for a second. I called it the mini toilet bowl! :)

E was getting pretty cold so we relaxed for a bit on the grass..

E just relaxing and enjoying the heat...did I mention it was 91 deg out that day!!

Where is J??? He was so cold he buried himself in the towel!! Haha

E decided to venture out, but she would not touch her knees to the cement...she crawled around exactly as you see in the picture! It was cute and funny

J wanting to go back into the lazy river, but we were done and needed to get going. We had to be at Joe's BBQ for dinner by a certain time and we needed to get ready! Which we had dinner with Mike's family. Then we came home and had dessert with my cousin and his wife! Overall the best birthday ever!

8 months old

Can you believe this little girl is 8 months old already?! I can't. The 2nd child seems to go by in a blur. E is our adorable little active monkey. Seriously she is a monkey. She is already climbing the stairs and trying to climb onto J's chairs...ridiculous. Her eyes are still blue, with a hint of brown in them. They may keep changing but I think they are going to stay a dark blue. Her hair is growing in a little bit more, she is pretty small for her age. She has friends who are a month younger that are bigger than her and her nephew is only 3 pounds less and 6 months younger!! She is on her way to walking though because she is pulling herself up and just barely starting to move while holding onto tables and such! E's is not the biggest giggler, J is still the only person to really get her going.

Favorite food...FRUIT anything with fruit in it she will eat.
Not so favorite food....VEGGIES...this is her face everytime we feed her veggies. E's is getting better at eating the veggies, but it's still only 1/4 of the 3 oz containers.

She looks the cutest in her girlie colors...like purple and dark pink with brown accessories! I just love this girl completely. She has said her first word "mama" (Ya I'm her favorite person right now!!!)

Isaiah D M

Ok I am so far behind on my blogging. I need to improve I know! :) Anyways, the whole reason for me to go to Utah in February was to meet this little guy. He is now 2 months old and so much bigger than these pictures. He is actually 3 pounds less than E...can you believe that. They are 6 months apart and E is still tiny! I think Isaiah is going to be their football player or Bball player! He is such a cutie...Enjoy these wonderful pictures...

My sister, Isaiah, and Me!

She is such a great mom already and he is just too stinkin cute, right?! :o)

My sweet fat Shadow

Yesterday my brother informed me that my sweet, fat, kitty Shadow got hit by a car and passed away. I was pretty cool on the phone, but once I got off I bawled like baby. He was such a good cat and we never had any problems with him. He had an attitude of superiority but most cats do. He loved playing with Dozer and they were great friends. At my parents house he played bully to the other cats and dog! My mom was ok with having him there because he killed the mice and we were going to take him with us in a year to our new home for residency. :( We have explained to J that Shadow has gone to live with Lucky and Jesus. He handled it pretty well...he told us that he wanted to go live with Shadow, Lucky, and Jesus...hopefully for J that won't happen for a VERY long time!

We are still here

I haven't been blogging as much lately because not many people are commenting so I am in the "why does it matter" stage...but I wanted to let everyone know we are still here....Mike is doing awesome with all of his rotations and this month is Internal Medicine and it's the first "break" we have gotten time wise since November. We are both loving his schedule. He doesn't have to go in until 11am and then he gets off any where between 2-5. I love it!! It's so nice to be able to see my husband again and spend time with him. J is also loving having his dad home more often. We also went to Utah, which I'll have a separate post for since it's all about my nephew ISAIAH..such a cutie!! Love him!!

J is still crazy as ever, but he is so funny. He is getting quite the imagination and loves to act out some of his favorite characters. He is totally into Aladdin, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and the Nightmare Before Christmas...which is his all time favorite over them all. we have to watch 1 of those movies a day. So funny! He LOVES LOVES LOVES to play outside. Unfortunately we only have a little back patio so he gets bored pretty quick and doesn't have enough space to run around unless we go out front, then I can't get him back inside! :) I'll have to buy him something for the patio...maybe a little pool for him to play in when I don't want to have to go swimming alone with 2 kids! :)

E is just nuts. She is already walking along side the furniture...not an expert yet at it but getting there. She is talking more and loves fruit, she is not a veggie fan at all. She squirms everytime!! She is getting more hair and she has her 2 bottom teeth. I think she is teething and will be getting her top teeth soon. Her crawling is getting quicker and she is sleeping through the night!! YAY!

Just gotta say I love these 2 kiddos...here are some fun pictures of what we have been up to the last month.
J 2.5 and E 7 months old

J and Raylin

E and Kiley...it's so much fun to watch these little girls every Tuesday!! I love that Raylin is 2 months older than J and Kiley is 2 months old than E!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Lots of playing outside on the patio...Love this weather!!

We have to keep the binky in or else she will eat EVERYTHING!! Even Dozer...

Eating yummy new foods!

Making cookies for our Valentine's day ward playgroup!!

Riding Dozer (he is such a great dog)

Seriously...

No 6 month old should be doing this...
and ESPECIALLY not this...E decided to climb up this couch. She was aiming for the rocket...please disregard the dirty laundry! :)

But I had to show this picture, because it shows that E is ALL GIRL...she already LOVES shoes!

And I can't forget about this little guy. He has been on a no napping schedule recently which at first really bugged me, but we have got a system going during E's afternoon naps!! Plus I will hopefully start a little school with just him and I to give us some mommy/J time. Some days though he gets soo exhausted that he just crashes. He just looks so peaceful!
He helped me make Valentine cookies for our playgroup last Wednesday! Such a blast!!

6 MONTHS OLD!!!

Guess who turned 6 months old yesterday?!! That's right my little baby girl E! I cannot believe that 6 months have already flown by. Her personality is already shining through and she is turning into such a mommas girl (I secretly LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! :) ). Here are a few things about E...

1) She loves her brother J...he is the only one that can really get her going on giggles

2) She isn't interested in sitting in the bumbo, but yesterday she sat on her own going from
laying down to sitting!

3)She is already "crawling" a bit...at least she is getting from point A to point B when she is determined

4)Her first tooth broke through yesterday!!

5)She has the best giggles in the WORLD!

6)She LOVES the oatmeal cereal and she doesn't like bananas or applesauce!

7)She absolutely is enthralled with patterns!

8)She also talks, a lot! :) I can tell she is going to be ALL GIRL!!

Utah Part 5: Kangaroo Zoo

We took SOO many pictures that there were too many to choose from...anyways we went to the Kangaroo Zoo in American Fork, UT! It was a blast. We hung out with my brother, Jason and his family...since they were watching Marcella's kids for the day they came too. It was a blast! Mike and I even got to go down this huge slide!!! LOVED IT!!!! There was a pretty bad winter storm that hit right when we got there, so Mike, J, E, and I ended up spending the night at Jace and Steph's house. Then the following day we went back to Kaysville to gather our things and say goodbye to the folks and headed off to Vegas! Enjoy the photos!

The group, Stephanie, McKenna, Grant, E, Mike, J, Ora, Ellis, Jason, and Patience!

Utah Part 4: Date night

My mom was gracious enough to watch the kids for us while we went on a DATE with Julie, Bryan, Lisa, and Jesse. It was fun! Lisa and I had just been shopping right before and so I was able to find some cute clothes for the night. For dinner we went to the Argentine restaurant...and for those who don't know, Mike went on his mission to Resistencia Argentina...so we went to dinner....then afterwards Julie, Mike, and I went to the movie True Grit! It was a great movie to end a great night! Thanks again Mom and Dad Hill!!

Utah Part 2: CHRISTMAS!!!!

Here is J Christmas morning...we waited to open presents when the kids woke up...Grandpa and Grandma woke up first and then I woke up at 7am. J was asleep until 7:30am when I finally went in to wake him, Mike, and  up.
J's awesome stocking!!!

Mike wearing his NEW robe and J opening some PLAYDOUGH

E was just hanging out and enjoying her toys

So my mom got everyone of us kids a DAMN IT doll...it's pretty sweet. I can now get my stress out and not have to hit my kids...HA HA just kidding, I don't have stress ;o)

Mike and my brother got me a KITCHEN AID and I love it. I finally used it last week and made some cookies...seriously it cut the time in half! I will one day learn to make bread!

Here are my parents opening their presents

Lisa just chilling

J, Davis, and soon to be my nephew Grant!!

Ora and McKenna (my soon to be niece) got the same nail "salon" and spent hours painting each others nails. They are best friends already!!

From left to right...Tage's fiance, Marcella, Tage, Jason, and Steph...Grant in the middle! :)

The boys were bugging the girls, so I made them an ONLY BOYS fort...they LOVED it.

This year was a fun Christmas! I can't wait until E is old enough for Santa too. I always LOVE getting together with my family and wish we lived closer so we can hang out more often.

Utah Part 1

For the first couple days we kind of relaxed a bit...I for one had to get used to the elevation change, I don't handle it well. BUT the Thursday before Christmas my parents took the whole family out to see Tangled in 3D...Mike and I with our awesome glasses!!

My dad, sister, and J

Then we decided on Friday to take my parents and my Grandma Hill out to lunch which we then took J to find some snow...we FOUND it. We had to go to the ski resorts, but hey we found some for him. He absolutely LOVED to play in it.

"Snow fight!!"

There was a little hill at the park we were at and so Mike being smart and resourceful, decided to dig in the trash and find a make shift sled for J...

Cardboard didn't work quite so well for Mike....

But for J it worked alright....

Since the cardboard wasn't working Mike found a plastic drawer and that worked MUCH better

Except for Mike... :)

After we played in the snow, we headed back to my parents house to get ready for Christmas Eve at Julie and Bryan's house with Shannon and Josh. We had the usual Shepherd's bread and Frape...the Bulloch family tradition. It is always fun to be able to hang out with Julie and Bryan and the kids on Christmas Eve.

The drive...

Our drive started out great! We left at about 1 after I picked up Mike from school. We decided to go the Vegas way because there was supposed to be a snow storm that day and the next...so we headed out and stopped in Cedar City for the night. After visiting Mike's grandparents in the morning we headed out again...

I decided that I would drive first because the roads weren't supposed to be bad...well I was completely WRONG!! I am not a HUGE fan of driving on bad winter roads and this is what I got to drive on until we got to Nephi....

This last picture is like a 5+ mile backed up traffic, because a semi truck had slid and was blocking BOTH lanes...this was going south to Vegas...so luckily we weren't headed that way.

Pre-Christmas

We had a couple "big" toys for J and since we were headed up to Utah for Christmas this year we decided to have our own "Christmas" morning the sunday before we left. The pictures are backwards, but here is Mike opening his Lincoln Logs!!

J with all his big toys...a kitchen, tool bench, and a Backyardigans Chair

We had him wait at the top of the stairs... this would have been a blast if it was the real christmas morning! :) It was still fun though

Bass Pro Shop

We heard that they had a great Santa at the Bass Pro Shop and that the wait wasn't long...well when we went it was an hour wait or so and we actually had to go to Lindsey's play Aladdin at 1:00pm...or we would have stayed to see Santa. But we got these fun pictures..

Here is Lindsey after the show with Aladdin...Lindsey was Princess Jasmine and she did AWESOME!! Such a wonderful performance by all the actors and actresses...the Genie was HILARIOUS!! :) J watched the whole thing :)

Lights...

I will be having a lot of posts the next couple of days to get caught up from Christmas and our trip to Utah! It was a great time to end the year! :) First things first...after Thanksgiving, we did the whole Black Friday thing, mostly to get Christmas presents for J and a few items for ourselves. We were able to get Mike's PS3 game and Mike was sweet enough to get me my CRICUT!! I had a little fun with it before we left...

I also made J and E's stockings...which I thought turned out great and were a so EASY!!

I even bought a few more (not going to mention the exact #) for our future kids so that they can all have the same stocking! :) We also went to the Mesa Temple Lights and the Zoo lights.

Here are pictures from the Mesa Temple Lights...

Frosty

J has never never liked watching TV or movies for more than 5 minutes, but lately his new LOVE is this...

We seriously have watched it at least 5 times a day. I try to limit it for 2 but being a human mom and enjoying the time to get the house cleaned or get a break I'm not strict about it too much. Don't get me wrong here, I don't just let him sit and watch it all day, I'm not that kind of mom, but after we have run around in the morning and he's taken a really good nap then I'll let him.

4 mos...Thanksgiving...and Christmas trees

Some fun events happened...first E turned 4 months old! I can now say she is 12 lbs 5 oz and she is 23 inches tall. She had her first doctors appointment a couple weeks ago since her 2 week check up, so the poor girl had to get 3 shots and in a couple weeks she will have to get her other set of shots to be all caught up. She was a trooper though!!
Here are some highlights about E:
*she giggles A LOT
*she can roll from front to back and back to front
*she can scoot and turn in a circle
*she is starting to reach and grab at toys
*she LOVES watching J
*her eyes are staying pretty dark, but I know she is going to be a blue eyed babe
*she still has a lot of hair...only a tiny spot in the back is rubbed off
E trying rice cereal for the first time...it didn't go to well. She wasn't a big fan of it, so we will try in another couple weeks.

Next BIG event everyone knows is THANKSGIVING....here are the pies we made. Mike made the Oreo cream pie, I made the banana cream pie (which turned out delicious for my first time ever making a pie), and then Mike made the last chocolate cream pie with leftovers from the Oreo cream pie. All YUMMY!!
For our Thanksgiving, we headed over to the Bulloch's house. These 2 pictures were the only pictures we took all day...we were just having way TOO much fun to remember we had our camera. After eating our food, we went to Harry Potter 7 again with Brenda and John, the kids, Lindsey, Cindy, Debbie, and Ethan. Then we went back to the Bullochs for a 2nd round and then headed home. Where I stayed up with Debbie and Cindy to hit the Black Friday deals!! Which we SCORED!!!

The best Black friday deal I got was my Cricut, for $70 which they normally run $200. I have to thank Mike for getting that one though, because I was determined to stay up all night, but at 3:50pm I headed up to bed to take a little break before heading out to Michaels for their 6am opening, and in 5 secs I was out like a light. Thankfully my wonderful hubby got up at 5:15 and headed over to Michaels and snatched me and my sister in law a Cricut! Unfortunately I only got 3 hours of sleep so we put up our Christmas tree, decorations , and lights Saturday. Here are some pictures of that. I can't wait to add to my decorations using my awesome Cricut!!!
We tried to take a picture of the two...this was the only picture where J didn't have his hands up in his face...but he looks pissed.. ha ha
I hope my kids stay friends as they grow up....they are just too cute playing together!

Utah Part 3: Children's Museum

Another wonderful visit we made was to our friends Kim, Audrey and Max! We went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway Mall in SLC. The admissions I thought was pretty expensive, but it was worth it. They had a construction area...

A playhouse area...J is learning how to do laundry early :)

a barn area...J loves to ride horses!

a market...J especially loved this part, he actually got to touch the cash register!! He is always trying to do this when we check out at stores and this time I gladly let him touch all the buttons he wanted!! He was in heaven :)

a rock climbing wall

You can put on your own play, it has dropbacks and everything! Pretty sweet

Music making area, J and Audrey were banging everything they could!!

a HELICOPTER...

Here is my friend Kim, with her handsome lil man Max
Hopefully one day we can set up a Midwestern Family reunion! What a blast that would be!!
